Meet the Founder

Nichole M. Bess is a globally recognized fashion industry leader, visionary entrepreneur, and international speaker. With more than two decades of experience, she has been handpicked to serve on the International Fashion Committee in Moscow and is often described as the “Harriet Tubman of Fashion” for her relentless commitment to creating global opportunities for BIPOC designers.

In 2022, she founded Noir Fashion Week (NFW) a traveling platform that empowers BIPOC designers by connecting them with sustainable resources, international visibility, and profitable opportunities. Since its inception, NFW has showcased more than 35 designers each season and continues to attract the attention of leading press, investors, and global industry stakeholders.

As the Tech Founder of The Global Edit, Ms. Bess is leveraging technology to expand access, innovation, and equity within the fashion ecosystem. She is also preparing to launch the We Belong Here Global Master Class and Foundation, with its inaugural program set in Paris. These initiatives focus on advancing BIPOC designers through education, capital, and mentorship.
